News from some of our Giants

Langstteichs Red-River/Willowplace Lucky Star brown tabby boy Vens Passion O'Danny at 2 years weighs 34lbs! Both parents carry XXL size. He will be siring some of our kittens this year. We should have recent pics of him soon.

Langstteichs L'Playback/Willowplace Lucky Star boy Vens Passion Porthos at 14 months weighed around 21 lbs! Porthos lives in Italy.

Playback/Ottawia brown tabby boy Vens Passion Pavarotti is tall and long, and at 1 year weighs 14lbs! Pavarotti is the ultimate combination of some very ingenious breeding executed by Ms. Teetz. Another Langstteichs breeding product is Mona Maxima from Playback/Fortuna. Mona is often mistaken for a male! Her first mating will take place this winter with one of the brothers Vens Passion Orpheus / or O'Danny.

I love hearing from my kitten owners as I strive for even greater size to carry the weight, length, height, muzzle, chin, and 1+1/2 long tail as my friend Katharina of Justcoons calls it when speaking of her new boy Vens Passion Kaiser Barbarossa!

Once we have pictures we might be forced to create a giant gallery!

Another upcoming giant is Playback/Vulcan son Rising Sun :-))) beauty and size combined with those extraordinary lynx tips, strong muzzle, deep chin, looong tail, and an uninterrupted white underside! Simply a magnificent show kitten!

I thought I didn't like high white until I saw him emerge... I was instantly mesmerized !

A name chosen due to his "intellectual forehead" ;-) ha! ha!

Another for sure giant on his way, my first high white (tabby) kitten with an uninterrupted white underside!! He is only 2.5 weeks old, weighs 17.6 ounces, with his body already showing extreme length of body & tail :-))) His friendly outgoing character is the cherry on the cake! All the above qualities apply also to his siblings though Dr. No's high white excites the breeder in me :-)

The judges loved her strong long body, massive neck and shoulders, deep stop, strong chin, and fearless character - the way I like my Maine Coons! A constant gift from parents Langstteichs L'Playback & E'Fortuna :-)))

Vens Passion's Zeppelin (born July 29th/07)- Became a Champion earning all his winning ribbons!! one of the youngest in his category, the judges were delighted by this handsome strong boy son of Langstteichs L'Playback and Willowplace Lucky Star who has inherited his father's body and his mother's show character and tabby markings.

With a huge potential ahead of him, Zeppelin has already made tons of fans at his very first show :-)))

His owner Teresa C. and I are delighted by his performance.

Silvi Cola's Blossom - enjoyed the show the most :-))) Her long body and tail, the perfectly well proportioned muzzle and chin, and her perfectly placed ears make her a very promising girl in the shows to come :-))) thanks to her long body from father Escape's Never Ending, and the deep chin and strong muzzle from her mother Dream Ola Amunda.

(Our "Old Folks" competed against youngsters in the Open category as FIFe titles obtained in Europe are not recognized by CFA). We hope that in their own age group they will do better. Grooming was our major setback because the standards are much more severe in CFA compared to those we had in Europe. We still need to find the right products and improve on this skill....all said, this was a good learning experience for Teresa Cummins my partner and myself, and as first timers, we did not do so bad! We did manage to get all three cats their Champion titles :-) We also met warm and wonderful breeders who welcomed us into the community with open arms :-))

Results: BEST IN SHOW was won by Orpheus and Best In Variety for both days. Qishu won Best In Variety on both days and was nominated Best In Show on the second day.

With their honors they follow our Lucky Star and Napoleon who recently earned their championship titles, and will soon be joining them in the USA.
